Charfield Angling Association Waters
Charfield Angling Association controls approximately 3 miles of fishing on the Little River Avon in the Charfield area of South Gloucestershire. The fishing starts at Damery Bridge and extends to just below the Renishaw’s site at Charfield.
Beat 1: Damery
Upstream from Damery Bridge, left hand bank until stone bridge at Avening Green.
Please note that the Management Committee agreed at the 4th June 2007 meeting that there would be no fishing on the bank directly opposite the residential property. Effectively, this is for the 1st 50m upstream of the access point from the road. Fishing to start at the left hand bend. Signs will be put up to remind members.
Beat 2: Avening Green
Upstream from stone bridge at Avening Green, right hand bank until new bridge at Huntingford.
Beat 3: Huntingford
Upstream from new bridge at Huntingford until tunnel under railway above Huntingford Mill. Also left hand bank, starting at the second stone bridge (by Huntingford Mill) until tunnel under railway above Huntingford Mill.
Beat 4: The Orchard (or Kennels) Section
Upstream from the tunnel under the railway, left hand bank until road bridge at Charfield Mills. Access off of Huntingford lane, by the Kennels.
Beat 5: Charfield Mills - Wooden Bridge (Ozleworth Brook)
Upstream from Charfield Mills, left hand bank until Wooden Bridge.
Beat 6: Wooden Bridge - Renishaws (Ozleworth Brook)
Upstream from Wooden Bridge, left and right hand banks until Renishaw's new bridge. This includes the ‘Flight Pool’.
